About

The goal of this project is to educate people about the inequity baked into our current food system by tackling issues that plague the Black community such as food injustice, diet-related diseases, underrepresentation in the food industry, lending discrimination, etc. More importantly, The Itis aims to inspire action by profiling Black Americans who are disrupting this broken system. From farmers to activists, restaurateurs to non-profit executives, nutritionists to politicians, The Itis is a celebration of our roots and the seeds we’re sowing for a better, Blacker food future.
